Pokémon Pokopia has surpassed five million sales in its first four months, making it the second-best-selling game on the Nintendo Switch 2. According to a press release, this sales figure means that 21% of the console's 23.68 million owners own the game. It sits behind only Mario Kart World, which has sold 15 million copies but was bundled with the console at launch. Developed by Koei Tecmo Omega Force, Pokémon Pokopia is a community-building life simulator that recently released its first DLC, Bubbly Basin, with a second DLC planned for later in 2026.
The spin-off gamble has paid off, capturing over a fifth of the console's install base.
