Larry and Judy Tanenbaum, alongside the University of Toronto, are launching a $5-million initiative to establish the Tanenbaum Knowledge Translation Chair for Science in Women’s Sport. The initiative aims to address the historical lack of research on female athletes and ensure findings are actively shared with coaches, players, and community sports groups rather than remaining siloed in academic journals.
It funds research translation to bridge the gender data gap in sports science.
