A fanmade native PC port of the original PlayStation 1 classic Spyro the Dragon is currently in development using the OpenPETE decompilation and recompilation hybrid by Amec and tyscorp. According to Spyro speedrunner lumilaura, who is testing an early build, the port runs natively on Windows 11 at 60 FPS with true widescreen, perspective-correct textures, and no polygon wobble. The project is being developed with no AI, runs 1:1 with the original console code to preserve speedrunning glitches, and its release is expected soon.
