Epic Games is rebuilding its Epic Games Store launcher from the ground up. According to slides shown at Unreal Fest, the technical overhaul will deliver a 5x faster average cold start and a 6.5x faster average system tray restore to the library. The redesign also introduces personalized game recommendations, quick-access categories, tailored product detail pages, patch notes on storefronts, cross-region game gifting, publisher-funded coupons, and a system performance checker.
