Apple now promises a minimum of 5 years of security updates, but this does not guarantee iOS feature updates. Because of this, The iPhone 11 series and the 2020 iPhone SE will probably receive their final updates this year with iOS 27.
Samsung offers as much as 7 years of support for some of its recent devices, but older and lower-end models get fewer updates. Taken together, this means the Galaxy S23 series, the Z Fold 5, and the Z Flip 5 will receive their final Android updates end 2026.
Google also supports all handsets from the Pixel 8 onwards for 7 years, making it a notable leader in longevity. Meanwhile, Motorola's update commitments are inconsistent, with support windows varying widely across its lineup.
