Marvel's Blade Is Safe

Several Microsoft developers are currently at risk of closure, sparking massive panic across the industry. But Bethesda boss Todd Howard has stepped in to save the upcoming game Marvel's Blade.

Howard confirmed the project is still in development at Arkane Lyon. He stated he saw new work in May and that the team is doing a really, really great job.

This reassurance sets a new bar for relief after Arkane's sister studio was shuttered in 2024. Yet, reports suggest these executive promises do not guarantee a studio's long-term safety.

Microsoft reportedly planned to close Ninja Theory even while announcing a new game for them. The tech giant used the announcement purely to make the studio more attractive to potential buyers.
