The cuts have almost completely wiped out the core team behind Destiny 2. A state-warn notice confirms at least 292 positions were affected in Washington alone.
The cuts are paradigm-shifting. Impacted employees report that the entire Destiny 2 sandbox, cinematics, and visual effects teams were eliminated.
Most of the Raid and Dungeon crew is also gone, alongside several developers working on the upcoming game Marathon. A massive tension now looms over the studio's future projects.
