Kyiv woke to horror this morning. At least 17 dead after Russia's overnight drone and missile barrage.
Waves of drones, cruise, and ballistic missiles pounded the capital, collapsing 6 floors of an apartment block and shredding a central hotel. 86 people were injured, 70 rushed to hospital as fires burned across the city of 3 million.
Ukrainian President Zelensky had warned the night before, be extra careful, take shelter, but the strike still came. Moscow calls it retaliation for Ukrainian drone strikes that left Russia facing fuel shortages.
