A game launched just this May is already halting all future content updates. Here is what went wrong behind the scenes. 🎮

Why did a game that launched just this May suddenly lose all future content updates? Otherside Entertainment has confirmed that its stealth game Thick as Thieves will get no more extra content, modes, or systems.
This seismic halt comes after the studio suffered two rounds of layoffs, leaving fewer than 10 employees remaining. Game director Jeff Hickman admitted this heartbreaking reality is not the outcome they wanted, but ongoing development is no longer viable.
The game launched with only 2 maps, and its $5 price tag created an impression of desperation that hurt its fortunes. Now, a very small team is building a new peer-to-peer version, so players can still access co-op without dedicated cloud servers.
Once this transition is complete, publisher Megabit will take over the remaining maintenance and bug fixes.
