An AI tool by Whisperflow can now transcribe your meeting without actually joining the call. Instead of showing up as an active participant, it operates quietly in the background by capturing your system audio.
The software then cleans up the raw text, generates action items, and lets you query your entire meeting history. This move puts the startup in direct competition with Granola, alongside other rivals like Fireflies, Otter, and Fathom.
To support this growth, Whisperflow has raised over $81 million, securing a $700 million valuation. Bloomberg even reported in May that the company was negotiating a new round at a $2 billion valuation.
All of this built up to August 5th, when Whisperflow officially launched its system audio meeting note-taker for Mac.
