While tech leaders celebrate the dawn of the AGI era, not everyone agrees on what that actually means. Here is why the debate is heating up.

OpenAI's president says we just entered the AGI era. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang agreed, declaring AGI has officially arrived, with the release of OpenAI's new Astra model.
Astra was trained on Nvidia chips, and Huang announced 400,000 more GPUs are coming online next. Yet, OpenAI's own CEO Sam Altman previously called AGI a very poorly defined, irrelevant marketing term.
