A local builder just landed a $25 million contract for Transit Windsor. Ground has officially broken on this $32.5 million garage expansion and modernization project.
The work adds 46,000 square feet to the facility for expanded bus storage and maintenance. Phased construction allows transit operations to continue while crews upgrade building systems and service bays.
Funding comes from 3 government levels, including $15.3 million from the federal government. Oldcastle-based Oscar Construction Company Limited was awarded the contract to build the massive facility upgrade.
