2.08M% APY exploit
A $6M DeFi hack in real time—while the market climbs 🚨 Who got hit and how?
What the video says
A flagship DeFi protocol just lost $6 million in a single exploit, while the rest of the crypto market climbed over 1% today. Summer.fi, the yield platform formerly known as Oasis.app, was drained of roughly $6 million early Monday morning.
Security firm Blockade caught the attack in real time, publishing the exploiter's address, the malicious contract, and 3 affected Lazy Summer vaults on-chain. PeckShield later pinpointed the main victim, the lazyvault_lowerrisk_usdc, whose displayed APY briefly skyrocketed to an unprecedented 2,080,000%.
The largest depositor in that vault, holding 8.6 million USDC, appears linked to Torben Jorgensen's uDHC, deepening the fallout from crypto's second major hack this month. Summer.fi's native token SUMR plunged 5.3% in 24 hours, a stark contrast to the broader market's 1% gain.
With June alone racking up $75 million in DeFi breaches, the exploit marks another disruptive setback for on-chain security.
