Bitcoin ETFs surge $265M
After 8 weeks of bleeding, bitcoin & ether ETFs just bounced back with $286M in a single day. Is this the turnaround crypto investors have been waiting for?
What the video says
After 8 straight weeks of outflows, US spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs just posted their biggest single-day rebound in over a month. Monday's numbers show $265.69 million flowing into Bitcoin funds, while Ether ETFs added a noteworthy $20.66 million.
BlackRock's ETHA led the Ether charge with $23.29 million, and its iBit Bitcoin fund pulled in $209.40 million, nearly 80% of the day's total. Even Grayscale's mini Bitcoin fund saw $42.25 million in fresh cash, though its flagship GBTC was the only fund still bleeding, shedding $44.45 million.
Yet the weekly ledger tells a different story: Bitcoin ETFs are still down a net $526.6 million, over the holiday-shortened week, marking 2 months of relentless outflows. Ether ETFs fared slightly better, trimming their weekly loss to $13.7 million as total Bitcoin ETF assets climbed back to $77.32 billion.
That recovery owes as much to Monday's inflows as to Bitcoin's price rebound, now trading near $63,200, up from a June 30th low of $70.95 billion in fund assets. For Ether investors, the $20.66 million inflow may signal a turning of the tide, but the weekly outflows remain a headline-grabbing counterpoint.
