What the video says
Canadian construction starts are down 28% year-to-date compared to 2025. Diesel prices have jumped 81% year over year.
Crude oil is up 57%, and inflation is at its highest since 2023. But the First Canada Investment Summit just unveiled a prospectus of nearly 170 projects across energy, mining, ports, and manufacturing.
Cumulatively, they're worth over $300 billion. Financing partners like Macquarie Group, with over 20 years in mining finance, are helping Canadian miners access the capital needed to move these projects toward construction.
Canada is already a top global producer of nickel, cobalt, lithium, and uranium, and holds the largest share of potash exports. The summit delivered close to $500 billion in new investment commitments from pension funds, banks, and investment firms.
If even a fraction of those projects break ground, it could mean a major pipeline of work for Canadian contractors and builders.
