Press Secretary SNL Dream
White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia already has her eye on an SNL portrayal—and she wants an A-list superstar for the job.
What the video says
Trump's new press secretary wants Scarlett Johansson to play her. Katie Zachariah suggested the A-list actress during an interview on Real America's News.
Speaking with Jack Posobiec on Thursday, 41-year-old Zachariah brought up the late-night show. Zachariah said, "I know it's coming.
I think, 'Who would I like to have play me? Maybe a Scarlett Johansson-type character.'" Posobiec agreed, noting that Johansson appears on Saturday Night Live frequently.
Donald Trump announced Zachariah as his new press secretary on October 9th. She replaced Carolyn Lievitt, who left the White House in late August.
Zachariah's first press conference on October 13th was filled with awkward blunders. She accidentally called the president her husband and stumbled through her talking points.
Her background quickly faced scrutiny over her claims of being a legal expert without passing the bar exam. Until February 2026, she served on the board of a right-wing anti-choice organization.
That group had previously advocated for women who have abortions to face the death penalty. Reports indicate she is unpopular in Trump's inner circle and clashes with Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
Despite the political friction, Zachariah holds out hope for her dream late-night impression. Scarlett Johansson is married to SNL co-head writer Colin Jost and has hosted the show 7 times.
