The horror reboot Resident Evil just dethroned Spider-Man on US streaming. Spider-Man: Brand New Day officially dropped to second place after weeks of dominating domestic charts.

Marvel's hit movie had maintained its leading spot continuously since October 6th. The blockbuster previously grossed $2.5 billion against a $225 million production budget.

That incredible box office run made it the third highest-grossing movie of all time. Despite that financial triumph, a fifth Spider-Man film has not yet been officially announced.

Tom Holland stated, "I will do it for as long as they'll have me." Producer Kevin Feige insists Holland and Zendaya deserve a restful victory lap before returning. On international streaming charts, Spider-Man: Brand New Day still comfortably holds the number 1 rank.

The thriller Obsession holds number 2 globally, while Resident Evil sits at number 3. Even with that global rank, the horror reboot commands the top spot across 26 countries.

Director Zack Craiger spent thousands of hours playing the iconic video games for inspiration. Digital storefront Fandango offers the film to purchase for $24.99 or rent for $19.99.

Horror fans can also grab a $34.99 trilogy bundle including Barbarian and Weapons. Fandango even released the opening 10 minutes early to tease fans with preview action.

Resident Evil 2026 captured the number 1 spot on the US Apple TV Store chart just 1 day after its November 3rd digital release.
